Machines

The Machines module is where you track your equipment: the 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers, and other machines you own. It's a record of what you have, not a way to drive them. Driving them is Digital fabrication.

What it tracks

A machine has identifying details like manufacturer, family, and type, its state, and whatever fields matter for it, such as firmware or nozzle size. Because Machines can be instanced, each kind gets its own area: a 3D Printers area with printer fields, a Lasers area with laser fields, and so on, all still machines underneath.

This works entirely on its own, with nothing connected. It's a good equipment log whether or not Cobblr ever talks to the machines.
