Personal connections
A personal connection is a credential you own, like an AI provider key, that you can grant to the workspaces you choose.
Yours, not the workspace's
You set these up under your own account, separate from any workspace's shared settings. The credential stays yours, and you decide which workspaces are allowed to use it. Leave a workspace and your connection doesn't go with it.
Bring your own AI, and more
The common use is AI: connect your own OpenAI or Anthropic key once and grant it to a workspace, so its AI features run on your account instead of a shared one. Today the catalogue covers AI providers (including a local machine reached through the edge bridge); the same mechanism is built to carry other per-user credentials as services are added.
Adding one lives under your account settings: pick the service from the catalogue, enter the credential once, done. Granting is per workspace, from your side: choose which of your workspaces may use it, and take a grant back whenever you like. The workspace sees the capability, never the credential.
